We had the recon tank go as a stop gap until we could make the trek there.

We sent him initially because our recon teams (mine included) were behind the center point, which you guys controlled, and were dismantling your garries there and on the point behind it. That did happen but we told the guy in the recon tank to stop. Seems like it would be more dynamic and would take away the part of the game where you have to babysit a big gun at the other end of the map. Either let recon destroy them so they require an engineer to fix or replace them entirely with mortar squads. This is something that I really think they need to fix. I’m just there to keep people off the arty, it’s not like the enemy team has a right to use the damn thing. I’m not there to farm kills on a Garry from a distance instead of taking it out. It was an easy company room and they were nice about it but I got a warning that the enemy team was complaining about spawn camping. I was playing last night and had an admin pop up and start looking at what I was doing and warn me not to spawn camp. In the end it just becomes a tedious experience. Your only hope at this point is to get them all relatively quickly and then hover where they’ve been spawning from so they can’t all come back within 5 seconds. If you have an enemy team who was just wrecking it on the arty you’ll often times have to deal with an almost full squad.

I have been on teams where the other team has managed to destroy a spawn garrison, not sure how you do that.

It would be one thing if you could destroy their Garry but they are invisible. So what do you do? You shoot them right when they spawn. Does the player base have to go in and point out every part of the map where the hit boxes are off?) …anyway, if you down them, they can respawn really quickly and have a pretty good idea of where you were firing from. If you down them (which is often times painful enough…please for the love of God can we fix the hit boxes on these things? Everyone knows the hit boxes on the canons are totally broken. The problem is that the enemy team almost always has a spawn right next to the artillery position with a crazy fast cool down timer. If arty is wiping out our team, as recon, you have to run all the way to the end of the map and take them out. The problem I have with it is that the only way to do this effectively ends up being spawn camping. To me this is a particularly weak dynamic within the game. When playing as a recon squad you will inevitably get tasked with the responsibility of disrupting enemy artillery.
